Brunei Entrepreneurship Education Scheme
A programme that is firstly introduced in 2011 where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education, Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn. Bhd. and Universiti Brunei Darussalam. BEES programme is designed to assist the students in understanding the ways of doing business through practical activities and mentoring with the intention of creating more awareness on the availability of modes of making themselves more independent and resourceful.
It is upgraded to version 2.0 (BEES 2.0) where it further instill, develop and stimulate enterprising attitudes and skills among students in secondary schools through a systematic approach by focusing on three key elements of entrepreneurial success namely entrepreneurial mindset, pragmatic knowledge with application, and creating entrepreneurial students that are resourceful and sustainable.
LiveWIRE Brunei is a Brunei Shell Petroleum’s Social Investment flagship which aims at grooming and mentoring current and future entrepreneurs. This is one of BSP’s commitments towards nurturing and developing local business competencies, capabilities, and competitiveness in particular for the long-term sustainability of Brunei Darussalam’s private sector economy. LiveWire was an integral part of BEES 1.0, through which their guidance and support was one of the key successes for BEES first launch.
